When I was little, my grandma used to chill fresh strawberries in the fridge before blending them into the most refreshing treat. I’ve carried that memory into this homemade Strawberry Sorbet – a simple, sweet moment you can share with your loved ones. Perfect for sunny afternoons or a light dessert after dinner!
1 cup granulated sugar
3 cups water
5 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, cleaned and quartered (about 2 lbs)
2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
Rinse and quarter the strawberries. Set aside.
In a saucepan, bring water and sugar to a gentle boil. Stir until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool.
In a large bowl, mix syrup, lemon juice, and strawberries.
Blend in batches until silky smooth.
Pour into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Scoop and enjoy! Keeps well in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Use frozen strawberries to skip chilling time.
A splash of lime adds a zesty twist!
Let it sit 5 minutes at room temp before scooping for perfect texture.
