The Ultimate Guide to Homemade Strawberry Sorbet: A Refreshing Summer Delight

Strawberry Sorbet

When I was little, my grandma used to chill fresh strawberries in the fridge before blending them into the most refreshing treat. I’ve carried that memory into this homemade Strawberry Sorbet – a simple, sweet moment you can share with your loved ones. Perfect for sunny afternoons or a light dessert after dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 cups water

  • 5 cups fresh or frozen strawberries, cleaned and quartered (about 2 lbs)

  • 2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice

Instructions

  • Rinse and quarter the strawberries. Set aside.

  • In a saucepan, bring water and sugar to a gentle boil. Stir until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  • In a large bowl, mix syrup, lemon juice, and strawberries.

  • Blend in batches until silky smooth.

  • Pour into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.

  • Scoop and enjoy! Keeps well in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Use frozen strawberries to skip chilling time.

  • A splash of lime adds a zesty twist!

  • Let it sit 5 minutes at room temp before scooping for perfect texture.
