Every Sunday at Grandma’s, the house smelled like warm apples and sweet berries. She didn’t use store-bought — she made everything with love. This slow cooker strawberry applesauce brings back those cozy memories. It’s easy, natural, and so comforting. Make a batch and share a spoonful of sweetness with someone you love!
7 apples (about 3–4 lbs, any variety)
1 lb. fresh strawberries, stems removed
½ cup apple juice or water
Sugar to taste (optional)
Peel, core, and slice apples. Add them to a 6-quart slow cooker.
Add strawberries and apple juice or water.
Cover and cook:
On HIGH for 5 hours
Or on LOW for 8 hours
Stir with a whisk until smooth. You can also blend it for a finer texture.
Taste and sweeten with sugar if needed, one tablespoon at a time.
Let it cool. Store in the fridge for 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
