Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ Cream butter & sugar: In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).

4️⃣ Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg and vanilla until smooth.

5️⃣ Combine: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, then gently fold in Rice Krispies and chocolate chips.

6️⃣ Scoop & bake: Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.

7️⃣ Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown. Let cool for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

✔ Chill the dough for 20 minutes to prevent excessive spreading.
✔ For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking.
✔ Use room-temperature butter for easier creaming.
✔ Store in an airtight container to keep them crispy.
