Perfect for family dinners or impressing guests, this recipe will have everyone coming back for seconds (and thirds)! Ready to wow your loved ones? Let’s get cooking!

Ingredients

  • Cheese ravioli – 1 (25 oz) package (refrigerated or frozen; fresh is preferred for a gourmet touch!)
  • Marinara sauce – 2 cups (homemade or high-quality store-bought, like Rao’s)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese – 2 cups (whole milk for the best melt)
  • Ricotta cheese – 1 cup (Galbani recommended for creaminess)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup (freshly grated preferred)
  • Fresh parsley – 1/4 cup, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt and pepper – to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 cup cooked ground beef or Italian sausage for added protein

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ravioli (if frozen) according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Prepare the ricotta mixture: In a bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Assemble the lasagna:
    • Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
    • Layer half the ravioli over the sauce, then spread half the ricotta mixture on top.
    • Add another layer of marinara sauce, followed by half the mozzarella cheese.
    • Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, ricotta mixture, marinara sauce, and the rest of the mozzarella.
  5. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the lasagna cool for 5-10 minutes, garnish with extra parsley, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use fresh ravioli if possible—it elevates the dish!
  • Don’t overcook the ravioli before baking; they’ll finish cooking in the oven.
  • Let it rest after baking to set the layers and make slicing easier.
  • Customize it: Add spinach, mushrooms, or roasted veggies for extra flavor and nutrition.
