  • ½ cup onion, finely chopped
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
  • ½ teaspoon EACH: Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Aromatics:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until fragrant (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Cook the Chicken:
Add butter to the skillet, then add the chicken pieces. Season with Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes).
  4. Make the Sauce:
Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until the sauce thickens (about 3-4 minutes).
  5. Combine Everything:
Add the sun-dried tomatoes and cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
  6. Serve:
Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or whole milk.
  • Adjust the red pepper flakes to control the level of spice.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
  • Don’t overcook the chicken to keep it juicy and tender.
