2 pounds flank steak
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
Juice of 1 lime
Make the Marinade: In a bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, garlic, black pepper, cumin, and lime juice.
Marinate the Steak: Place the flank steak in a zip-lock bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over it and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best flavor.
Preheat the Grill: Heat grill to medium-high heat.
Grill the Steak: Remove steak from marinade and let excess drip off. Grill for 4–6 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your preferred doneness.
Rest & Slice: Let steak rest for 5–10 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
Marinate overnight for the richest flavor.
Always slice against the grain to keep it tender.
This steak pairs beautifully with grilled veggies or a fresh green salad.
