Easy Easter Dirt Cake Recipe with Homemade Chocolate Pudding

This Easter Dirt Cake is the perfect way to bring everyone together—kids and adults alike will love decorating (and eating) this creamy, chocolatey masterpiece. With layers of homemade chocolate pudding, cheesecake, crushed Oreos, and colorful coconut, it’s a festive treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat! Get ready to impress your guests with this easy, no-fail dessert.

Ingredients

➡️ Homemade Chocolate Pudding:
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk
• 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1/4 cup cornstarch
• 1/8 tsp sea salt
• 3 cups milk
• 2 tbsp butter (room temperature)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

➡️ Cheesecake Layer:
• 8 oz cream cheese
• 4 oz heavy cream
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

➡️ Toppings:
• 1 package crushed Oreo cookies
• 1/2 cup colored coconut

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the Chocolate Pudding
• In a saucepan, mix sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
• Place over medium heat and gradually add milk, stirring constantly.
• Bring to a boil and cook until thickened.
• Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla, and pour into a 9×13 pan. Let cool in the fridge.

2️⃣ Make the Cheesecake Layer
• In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar together.
• Add heavy cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

3️⃣ Assemble the Cake
• Spread the cheesecake layer over the chilled chocolate pudding.
• Top with crushed Oreos and sprinkle with colored coconut.
• Decorate with your favorite Easter candies (M&M’s, jelly beans, or chocolate eggs)!
• Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
