  • Butter or Crisco (for greasing)
  • 3 cups (18 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 18 Peeps marshmallow bunnies
  • Graham crackers and pretzels (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 450°F (232°C) and ensure the rack is in the middle position.
  2. Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9-inch square baking dish with butter or Crisco using a paper towel.
  3. Add the Chocolate Chips: Pour the chocolate chips into the greased dish and spread them evenly.
  4. Arrange the Peeps: Place the Peeps marshmallow bunnies on top of the chocolate chips. For a 9-inch pan, arrange them in 3 rows of 6 bunnies each.
  5. Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 6-7 minutes, or until the Peeps puff up, lightly brown, and begin to crack. Be careful not to over-bake!
  6. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve immediately with graham crackers, pretzels, or your favorite dippers.

  1. Watch the Peeps Closely: They can go from perfectly puffed to over-browned quickly, so keep an eye on them while baking.
  2. Customize Your Dippers: Try strawberries, banana slices, or cookies for a fun twist.
