Easter Egg Oreo Balls

Easter Egg Oreo Balls are a fun, festive, and delicious treat perfect for Easter celebrations! These no-bake goodies combine the rich flavor of Oreo cookies with creamy cream cheese, shaped into adorable egg shapes, and coated in smooth white almond bark or colorful candy melts. Topped with festive sprinkles, they’re as delightful to look at as they are to eat. Plus, they’re easy to make and a hit with both kids and adults!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 19.1 ounces Oreo cookies (1 standard package)
  • 12 ounces white almond bark or candy melts (colored for variety)
  • Easter-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos:
    • Use a food processor to finely crush the Oreo cookies into crumbs. Alternatively, place the cookies in a Ziploc bag and crush them with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  2. Mix the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Use a hand mixer or spatula to blend until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Shape the Eggs:
    • Using a 1 ½ tablespoon scoop, portion the mixture and roll into balls. Gently shape each ball into an egg shape.
    • Place the shaped eggs on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Melt the Chocolate:
    • While the eggs are chilling, melt the white almond bark or candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  5. Dip the Eggs:
    • Using two forks, dip each chilled egg into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Gently shake off any excess chocolate and place the egg back on the parchment paper.
    • Immediately decorate with Easter sprinkles before the chocolate sets.
  6. Set and Serve:
    • Allow the chocolate to fully harden at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
    • Serve and enjoy! Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  • Oreo Variations: Use any flavor of Oreo cookies (e.g., mint, peanut butter, or golden Oreos) to customize the flavor.
  • Chocolate Options: White almond bark is classic, but you can use milk chocolate, dark chocolate, or colored candy melts for a festive touch.
  • Decorating Ideas: Drizzle contrasting colors of melted chocolate over the eggs for a decorative effect.
  • Storage: Keep the Oreo balls refrigerated for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
