Ingredients

Scale

For the Bowls:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup pickled red onions (or raw red onions)
  • 1/2 cup sliced pickles
  • 2 tbsp pickle relish
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapeño slices (optional)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
  • 4 cups shredded lettuce

For the Burger Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp pickle relish
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Burger Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickle relish, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper.
    • Cook for 7-10 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until fully browned and cooked through.
    • Drain any excess fat and set aside.
  3. Assemble the Bowls:
    • In individual serving bowls, start with a base of shredded lettuce.
    • Add a portion of the cooked ground beef.
    • Top with cherry tomatoes, pickled red onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, pickles, and jalapeños (if using).
    • Drizzle generously with the burger sauce.
  4. Serve and Enjoy:
Mix everything together or eat as is for a delicious, deconstructed cheeseburger experience!

Notes

  1. Customize Your Toppings: Feel free to swap out or add toppings like avocado, sautéed mushrooms, or even a fried egg.
  2. Make It Spicy: Add extra jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the burger sauce for a kick.
  3. Meal Prep Friendly: Prepare the components ahead of time and assemble when ready to eat. Store the burger sauce separately to keep the lettuce crisp.
  4. Healthier Option: Use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef, and opt for low-fat cheese and light mayo.
