This Cheese Bread is a savory, moist, and tender quick bread loaded with a delicious blend of cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan.   • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (50g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1¼ cups (300ml) buttermilk (or milk + 1 tbsp vinegar)
  • ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

1. Prep & Preheat

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together:
    • Flour
    • Baking powder
    • Baking soda
    • Salt
    • Garlic powder
    • Oregano
    • Thyme

3. Add Cheese

  • Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan until evenly coated in flour.

4. Combine Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, whisk:
    • Buttermilk
    • Melted butter
    • Eggs

5. Mix Batter

  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
  • Gently fold together until just combined (do not overmix).

6. Bake

  • Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

7. Cool & Serve

  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature!
