Air Fryer Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs

When my grandkids come over, the first thing they ask for is “Grandma’s cheesy hot dogs!” This recipe brings back memories of quick after-school snacks and cozy movie nights. It’s simple, fun, and full of comfort. Try this in your air fryer and watch it become an instant favorite at your table!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 slice of bread

  • 2 teaspoons mayonnaise or butter

  • 1 slice of cheese

  • 1 beef frank

Instructions

  • Spread mayo or butter on one side of the bread.

  • Place a slice of cheese on the other side.

  • Lay the hot dog on top of the cheese and roll the bread around it.

  • Use 2-3 toothpicks to secure both ends.

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F.

  • Place in the fryer without overcrowding.

  • Cook for 3–4 minutes. Add 1 more minute if needed.

  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce!

Notes

✔ Use thick-sliced bread for better rolling.
✔ Mayonnaise helps the bread crisp up nicely (butter works too).
✔ Secure with toothpicks to prevent unrolling.
✔ Don’t overcrowd the air fryer—cook in batches if needed.
✔ Serve with ketchup, mustard, or cheese sauce for dipping!
