Ingredients
300g (2 cups) flour
1 egg
45g (1/4 cup) sugar
Pinch of salt
7g dry yeast
140 ml (3/5 cup) hot milk
40g (1/4 cup) softened butter
For decoration: Whipped cream, Chopped strawberries, Granulated sugar
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine sugar, yeast, and hot milk; stir to dissolve.
Whisk the egg. Add flour and salt, knead with a spatula, then hands until dough is elastic.
Incorporate softened butter into the dough thoroughly.
Form a dough ball, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
Divide dough into 8 parts, roll each into a ball, cover, and let stand for 30 minutes.
Slightly flatten, then re-roll into balls, cover, and rest for another 30 minutes.
Fry in hot oil over low heat for 2-3 minutes each side.
Cool slightly, cut in half, fill with whipped cream and strawberries, sprinkle with sugar.
