1 ½ pounds flank steak
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon onion powder
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the flank steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
In a large, oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side until a golden crust forms.
Reduce heat to medium-low. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, spooning the melted butter over the steak.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 5-7 minutes for medium-rare (adjust based on your preferred doneness).
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve!
Room Temperature Meat: Take the steak out 30 minutes before cooking for even cooking.
Don’t Overcrowd the Pan: Use a big enough skillet to get a nice sear!
Use a Meat Thermometer: Aim for 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
