When my grandkids come over, the first thing they ask for is “Grandma’s cheesy hot dogs!” This recipe brings back memories of quick after-school snacks and cozy movie nights. It’s simple, fun, and full of comfort. Try this in your air fryer and watch it become an instant favorite at your table!
1 slice of bread
2 teaspoons mayonnaise or butter
1 slice of cheese
1 beef frank
Spread mayo or butter on one side of the bread.
Place a slice of cheese on the other side.
Lay the hot dog on top of the cheese and roll the bread around it.
Use 2-3 toothpicks to secure both ends.
Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
Place in the fryer without overcrowding.
Cook for 3–4 minutes. Add 1 more minute if needed.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce!
✔ Use thick-sliced bread for better rolling.
✔ Mayonnaise helps the bread crisp up nicely (butter works too).
✔ Secure with toothpicks to prevent unrolling.
✔ Don’t overcrowd the air fryer—cook in batches if needed.
✔ Serve with ketchup, mustard, or cheese sauce for dipping!
