Smashburger Quesadillas

Back in my kitchen on a quiet Sunday afternoon, I decided to combine two favoritesβ€”juicy smashburgers and cheesy quesadillas. The result? A mouthwatering dish the whole family couldn’t stop talking about. It’s fast, fun, and full of flavor. Give it a try and let it bring smiles to your table too!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tsp yellow mustard

  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

  • Pickles (optional, but highly recommended)

  • Butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Season & Shape: Mix ground beef with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Divide into 4 equal balls.

  2. Smash & Cook: Heat a skillet on medium-high. Add beef ball, smash it flat with a spatula. Cook 2-3 mins each side. Remove and set aside.

  3. Build the Quesadilla: In another pan, lay a tortilla, sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella, top with burger patty, onions, pickles, and drizzle of mayo-ketchup-mustard sauce. Add more cheese and fold.

  4. Grill It: Toast both sides until golden and cheese is melted (2-3 minutes per side).

  5. Slice & Serve: Let it rest a minute, then slice into wedges. Enjoy warm!

  • Pressing the beef thin ensures crispy edges and juicy centers.

  • Try with pepper jack cheese for a spicy kick.
